At Glendale MRI Institute, we are on the cutting edge of diagnosing musculoskeletal disorders. Our new, state-of-the-art high definition MRI system provides highly detailed pictures of anatomy and pathology to help evaluate a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders.

Our Signa Excite scanner features dedicated coils for the wrist, ankle, foot and shoulder. It offers outstanding image quality for a more confident diagnosis, and less likelihood of rescans, even in the most challenging circumstances.

With this new technology, we now offer the most comprehensive breadth of musculoskeletal MR proceduresin the Glendale area.

In addition to our technology, we’ve recently added two new physicians with subspecialties in musculoskeletal disorders. These highly skilled, board-certified radiologists are always on-site and available for case reviews.

Steven M. Cohen, M.D., (Medical Director) has been reading musculoskeletal studies full-time for the past five years. He graduated from State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center and performed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at New York Medical College and his fellowship in Body Imaging and Ultrasound at UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. Cohen has taught and guest lectured at UCLA and has supervised and interpreted hundreds of MRI scans for seven imaging centers throughout Southern California. He also has been published in numerous peer review journals.

Muhammed Ali, M.D., graduated from Allama Iqbal Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan. He performed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center. He received his fellowships in Body Imaging at Baylor College of Medicine and in Musculoskeletal Radiology at Beverly Radiology Medical Group under the supervision of John V. Crues III, M.D. Dr. Ali has been published in numerous peer review journals.
